They played this Rush Limbaugh clip last night on Rachel Maddow’s show:
“Have you heard, this new movie, the Batman movie – what is it, the Dark Knight Lights Up or something? Whatever the name of it is. That’s right, Dark Knight Rises, Lights Up, same thing. Do you know the name of the villain in this movie? Bane. The villain in the Dark Knight Rises is named Bane. B-A-N-E. What is the name of the venture capital firm that Romney ran, and around which there’s now this make-believe controversy? Bain. The movie has been in the works for a long time, the release date’s been known, summer 2012 for a long time. Do you think that it is accidental, that the name of the really vicious, fire-breathing, four-eyed, whatever-it-is villain in this movie is named Bane?”
OMG, Rush has finally won me over. He has convinced me that the liberals on the left are better at prophecy than the right and they claim to have God on their side.
First, there is the Obama birthers who claim that his mother was so prophetic that she managed to get birth announcements for her son’s birth in the Honolulu newspapers because she knew that he would one day be running for president.
Now, Rush is claiming that the villain in the new Batman movie was named Bane because the liberals in Hollywood knew that Romney would get the nomination and that his company, named Bain, would be causing controversy as some kind of fire-breathing, four-eyed monster.
I don’t know about four-eyed, but Bain and Romney are definitely “Two-Faced” so they released that Batman villain too early, the year Obama’s mother was born and five years before Romney. Well, you can’t always be correct in your prophecy.
Here is the way Rush’s prophesy works:
DC Comics was the first to predict how bad Bain Capital was going to affect Romney’s chances when they released “Batman: Vengence of Bane #1″ in January 1993. On top of that they made Bane one of Batman’s “most physically and intellectually powerful foes.”
Bane broke Batman’s back in “Knightfall” which came out later in 1993 and Ted Kennedy broke Romney’s heart by clobbering him with Bain/Bane ads in 1994.
Later Bain, oh, sorry Bane, was in “Batman & Robin.”
Save the children! Bane/Bain is in the animated series, and talk about your prophecy, Bane is in “Batman: Chaos in Gotham,” a video game released in – get ready, get ready, [begin Shark music: do, do, dodo, do] – 2001.
I can hear Rush now: “Nintendo knew in 2001 how powerful Romney would become so they made this game so liberals could connect Bain and Romney to 9/11.” Romney was running for governor in 2001. Nintendo released it on Gameboy knowing full-well that the kids – pre-natally introduced by their left-leaning Batman groupie mothers to Bane/Bain back in 1993 – would be eight and nine in 2001 and would turn – do, do, dodo, do – 18 in 2012, just in time to vote for Obama/Batman.
Mattel released a Lego Bane/Bain in 2007 when Romney was running for the GOP nomination the first time and they used evil Bane/Bain ads in that campaign. Mattel is re-releasing a Bane/Bain figure this year just to help Obama. Right now.
Oh, Rush you have busted a big one this time. The left has used prophetic comic books and toys to ruin Mitt Romney’s political life for at least 18 years.
OMG, the humanity!
Bain has been fighting this toy menace. They bought KB Toys, founded in 1922, in 2000 and after laying off its employees and a number of other things they went completely under in 2009. Bain bought Toys R Us, a company that had donated primarily to Democrats, in 2005 and who knows what Bain will do to them.
